Amazon Best Sellers Rank:

#15,481 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

I enjoyed the first book a bit but I could not finish this one. The MC spent so much time ranting and whining and was flipping from one personality to another and was not consistent even in the same scene. For example there was one scene where he was acting afraid because he was calling himself a name that means dragon that would insult some noble so much so that he was shaking in his boots tempting to flee, the next moment he dominant and showing up said noble with his power and threatening him no transition just one moment he is a coward despite his strength the next he acts like an overpowered child throwing a tantrum. I can't say that at any point of this book that he ever acted as he did in prior book as of a child who was forced to mature due to hardship but yet has a strength of his magic and that of a dragon. The book is full of badly written rants and tantrums and I could not finish it I feel the author ruined what was a good story.

Lots of potential but falls short. Main character is overpowered yet afraid of young students. Is the best at everything and excels at everything he does. No real character growth. Random side takes that give nothing but useless information about characters that aren't part of the main story line. Character reveals himself after a girl dies that he hasn't even formed a bond with.Author really needs to pick a character to write about and stick with them the whole time. The 2 stars are for the world building. It's a very interesting setting but isn't done justice.

Interesting main story with glimpses into the politics of the continent. The hero Andy/Kerro’s appearance starts to create ripples, which ultimately result in his being attacked by one side and defended by others.Kerro’s personal journey is also interesting as he works hard to learn at school (though he hides this from an instructor for a while), in the archives (for a way home), and he finds a weapons instructor in town. His efforts pay off as he finds he must defend himself against a concerted attack. In the first book, I found the way of introducing the thoughts of the characters a little confusing at first. By this point, I am used to the method and find it adds interesting ‘flavor’ to the characters and provides additional insight into why some actions are taken.I am hooked and ready for the next book!

TLDR: 1. The whole book is a mesh of flashbacks and separate narratives, hitting you with a confusing ping-pong effect via the plot.2. Its a hard read, and has some plot holes.I really wanted to like this book. The first novel kept me interested and was a fairly good read, but this book fell flat. Constant narrative changes and flippant use of flashbacks left me confused and wanting for a more linear story line. Characters are introduced as if they are important and then dropped immediately. There are a few character interactions that go bizarrely(Best way I can describe it), and honestly, it isn't written as well as the first novel. Feel free to give the novel a try, but I don't think I'm going to read the third book. Best of luck, readers.

Andy heads off to Ortan to learn magic. Dur8ng his stay at the academy he learns fencing/swordsmanship and gains some friends. His plans go awry when wood elves turn up and demand that he be returned as an escaped slave. Mayhem then follows.Good book, a few spelling, naming and punctuation errors, but nothing that detracts. Looking forward to the third book

What happened?!I have a high hope for the second book, but I am very disappointed. I felt that I am cheated out of my money reading this second book. I believe that this book needs more flushing, more editing, or something. I want to like the book, but I can't when I am always distracted on "what just happened". Some of the chapters I have to reread again just understand what the author wants from me. Maybe I am just not getting this second book. Again, compared to this first book, I think this book could have been better. Did the author rushed to finish this book?

After almost none stop reading this the second book, i just had to drop a word here that i loved it.The world is fleshing out, and so is our young dragon. And i am so happy book 3 is already out, as i am going to get it now, even if it is 5 am here and a night spent reading the end of book 2 have me just wanting more. What a refreshing way to portray the old fantasy species i got to say. :D

Well written, the translation shows in a few spots with acceptable but slightly awkward verb tenses, but you skip over most of them subconsciously, or at least I did. ( a few of them had me automatically 're-reading a sentence a few times but it wasn't really bad just me). Well worth the read, after this the second book I look forward to continuing the series
