Two Feet Forward is a book that has basketball references but can be applied to all aspects of life. The sports analogies are relevant and well explained. It is not so much a book about how to improve your abilities as a basketball coach, although that can certainly apply. It is how to focus your life to enable it to be lived more fully. It is a reminder to set goals, have a plan, and step into ownership of who you are. I enjoyed reading this book very much and highly recommend it. Excellent job Coach Macy.
Having the ability to change a person's perspective is powerful. Heather Macy does this in her message and delivery of lessons learned. In Two Feet Forward, she reminds readers that character does count and that little things have great value. Heather has a unique quality to connect with people. She instills the importance of preparation, work ethic, and accountability in those under authority and for those in leadership positions. Thank you Heather for being willing to share your experiences to build others.
Very easy and engaging read! I read the entire book while waiting at the DMV. As a former basketball player and coach, loved the backdrop of basketball in teaching practical life lessons. However, a background in basketball is not required to enjoy the book. The stories are interesting and easy to follow with apparent life lessons. Great job, Coach Macy!

I've always thought highly of Coach Macy since the moment I was a young, impressionable assistant coach, out on the road recruiting and she walked by me, stopping to greet me by name. Since then, I was sold on her character and who she was as a leader. The fact that she knew little ol' me, when we really had no association with one another spoke volumes. So, when I found out she wrote a leadership book, I was sold from the jump.As a fellow head coach, teacher, and female in a leadership role, this book addresses many of the obstacles we face daily. This book describes the ability to recognize problems before they occur and to be bold enough to fix them. As we know, this is critical to making success a part of our culture. This book gives great insight into building consistency in performance, embracing the moment of impact, and being prepared by creating a no excuses/toughness mentality. I've already applied many lessons taken from this book and shared them with my own team. Bottom line - this book embraces the GET BETTER EVERY DAY mindset. I would highly recommend reading if you want to better yourself on the job & in life!
