I found this book to be vastly inferior to Puerto Rico Off The Beaten Path. Every time I looked something up I found lists of things with no richer content. A waste of my money.

I will be going to Puerto Rico in May and although it doesn't have much information in the way of visiting Fajardo which is where I am going, it will do just fine. I am very much a traveler of off the beaten path. So this is perfect for me, it's informative, entertaining and without sounding rude at some points anti-tourist. Which is fine with me. :) So I would say if you're going to Puerto Rico pick up a book that's maybe a little more detailed for the part you're going and GET THIS ONE TOO!!

Not what I expected, probably ok if you like to party and drink, but it did not work for us.

It takes anywhere without complications.I am original from P.R. but I was able to learn about new areas and places to explorer.

The content of the book is awesome, the author has always been one of my Favorite JS authors, just a comment to the editor, O'reilly, the pages were not die cutted, so I had to separate each 2 pages with a cutter myself, take care of those details.

This is an outstanding contribution to the line of JavaScript titles out there. It introduces ES6 (and beyond) language features in a friendly, approachable way. The treatment is neither too deep, nor too shallow; the author has found an ideal middle ground. Especially nice was the fact that no language features were skewed or treated unfairly, or incompletely in service to idiosyncratic opinions the author may have, a practice perfected by Douglas Crockford. As far as I could tell, every bit of the language was treated evenhandedly, with pros and cons clearly articulated, with solid advice to help developers decide for themselves.This title especially stands out for its treatment of in-progress features like class instance fields, decorators (yes, the updated stage 2 version), and async iterators, though the treatment of the latter was a tad light.While the book was in need of a good editor at times, overall it's clear the author knows his topic extremely well; I look forward to subsequent titles. I highly recommend this book for both novice, and experienced JavaScript developers alike.

Not only it's a good textbook, it also serves as a reference book. I've looked up code snippets in the book for a couple of times after I finished reading. Besides explaining how and when to use the new ES6 features, it also provides a look at how these features are implemented at high level. Not a single word is unnecessary in this book.
