I was eight years old when I bought this off the variety store rack in 1962. This republication is on glossy, brighter paper than the original and the original cover is reproduced on the inside back cover. There are contemporary, explanatory notes about the war and a list of movies and books. So it's published for the generation of today's youth. These 2002 notes do not explain why they replaced the cover or any further reproduction notes. That aside, this is a wonderful reproduction. It has a 2014 copyright held by a Berkshire, UK company.The art is a bit cruder than I recalled but far more comprehensive in covering all the battlegrounds. I'm going to wrap it and give it to a youngster in the my family. I see the original selling for $57+ here but this ten dollars was well spent to reconnect memory to fact.

My favorite way to review history. Would be good for current students to gain an overview of the major world event before reading a history text.

Best travel guide to Zambia you will find any where. The updated version is coming in 2016 so hold out for it if you can as there have been a number of changes in Zambia over the past 5 years (mostly good :) )

Excellemt read. Full of useful details. Zambia is not a popular destination yet the book covers all essentials: from weather patterns to social customs. A true must-have guide. Highly recommended.

Provided some good history but I did not have a chance to use it much.

good travel guide much, much better than LP. surprisingly good sectional maps. hopefully more updated version comes out soon.

I have not yet traveled to Zambia, except as an armchair traveler---but even then, I highly recommend this book as the best travel guide to that country. It has clear and detailed information of all kinds.

This book was entertaining, and had plenty of hot moments to enjoy. The only downside is, well, it’s all about Brash. He was annoying in the first book, so having to read a whole book from his inane and preposterous viewpoint was challenging.
